Find a large open space, like your driveway or garage floor. Make sure the area is clean and clutter free.
Take 7 48 inch lath sticks, which can be purchased at your local hardware store in the lumber department. Lay them out side by side, making sure that they are all the same in height.
Once they are all together, fan them out, 5 inches apart at the very top, making sure that the bottom of the sticks still touch (like seen in the picture above).
Cut a lath stick at a 11 1/8 inches and hammer into the bottom of the fan where the sticks separate at 1/2 inch, using 1/2 inch brad nails.
Cut another lath stick at 21 5/8 inches and attach to fan where the sticks seperate at two inches, using 1/2 inch brad nails.
Cut the third supporting stick to 27 5/8 inches long, which will be layed across the fan where the lath sticks are 3 inches apart.
Flip trellis over and place in desired location.
