  1. Renew Your Patio Furniture

    • 1

Inspect the damages as this will determine if the furniture truly is salvageable. You should also use this time to tighten any loose screws or bolts on chairs or tables. If the furniture is structurally safe, try to salvage it.

    • 2

Clean the furniture. Use ammonia and water to clean washable surfaces of furniture. Use a cleaning eraser to remove the dark "use marks" and scuffs that evidently appear on plastic furniture.

    • 3

Paint the furniture for a fresh look. If the furniture is metal, be sure to use a paint made to cover rust. If it is plastic or lacquered, use a spray paint formulated for these surfaces.

    • 4

Re-varnish stone surfaces that look dull or bleached out. Spray varnish can give stone surfaces back their original sheen and water repellency. Varnish can also protect composite stone slab veneers.

    • 5

Spot clean upholstery with specialized upholstery cleaners. Test for color safeness in an inconspicuous area of the fabric. If it's too stained for spot treatment, replace the cushions or fabric for a total make-over.
