How to Clean PVC Pipe Furniture

A large amount of outdoor patio furniture is made with PVC pipe. PVC pipe absorbs stains as the spring and summer progress, and these stains can sometimes be tricky to remove. Stains such as suntan lotion, dried food, dirt, mildew and mold all plague PVC pipe furniture. Luckily, with some elbow grease and cleaning products you should be able to remove most of these stains from your PVC pipe furniture.

Things You'll Need

  • Bleach
  • Bucket
  • Rubber gloves
  • Scouring pad
  • Liquid dish-washing detergent
  • Garden hose

Instructions

      Fill a bucket with one part liquid dish-washing detergent, one part bleach and eight parts warm water.

      Spray the furniture with a garden hose to remove any light surface dirt.

      Put on rubber gloves.

      Scour the furniture using a scouring pad dipped in the cleaning mixture. Rub vigorously over the tough stains and lightly over small marks and scratches.

      Spray the furniture with one more spray of the garden hose to remove any traces of cleaning products and dirt.
