Instructions

    • 1

Cut two pieces of replacement Sunbrella fabric that are a half inch bigger than the hole or tear on each side. It is best to use the same type of Sunbrella fabric (marine, camping, etc.) and the same color.

    • 2

Lay the original Sunbrella fabric on a flat surface. Wipe off the area with the tear or hole with a wet cloth. Allow the fabric to completely dry. Repeat on the other side of the fabric, if possible.

    • 3

Apply the canvas glue around the edges of one of the patches and allow it to get slightly sticky. This process could take one to five minutes depending on the glue type.

    • 4

Lay the patch over the hole or tear in the Sunbrella fabric. Press down firmly on all the edges. Do not allow any air inside the patch. Allow this side of the patch to completely dry.

    • 5

Repeat steps three and four with the other piece of replacement Sunbrella fabric on the other side of the hole or tear. Allow the fabric and canvas glue to dry for 24 hours before using the Sunbrella fabric.
