Directions for Oil for Tiki Torches

A tiki torch, whether gas, electric or oil powered, can be a festive way to light any outdoor space. Refilling a tiki torch with oil is a straightforward process, but must be done carefully. Tiki torch oil can include scents or insect repellent such as citronella or can be as bare-bones as you please. No matter the fuel type, once you light a tiki torch, you can get back to your guests while it provides ambient light for hours.

Instructions

    • 1

Unscrew the flame guard and wick from the tiki torch fuel bottle.

    • 2

Pour the tiki torch oil into the fuel bottle. Avoid filling above the mark on the bottle. If your bottle does not have a marking line, leave at least half an inch between the oil and the lip of the bottle.

    • 3

Screw the flame guard and wick back on to the fuel bottle. Be sure that you do not over-tighten the guard and wick.
