How to Empty an Old LP Bottle

LP bottles are used for torches, camping lamps, small fire pits, grills and camping stoves. The gas inside the bottle is not always used entirely because the flame gets low and the heat is not present. People turn off the bottles and secure a new bottle in its place. Empty the old bottles when it's convenient through a simple process.

     Attach the used bottle of LP to the gas-powered device.

     Open the valve on the LP bottle. Light the device.

     Monitor the flame while its burning. The flame gets smaller as the LP is used. Eventually, the flame will go out.

     Turn off the valves. Remove the emptied LP bottle.
