Put on your gloves. Cement blocks are rough and heavy and you need to protect your hands.
Stack bricks to a comfortable height on the left side. If the bricks are larger and square, like 12 inch by 12 inch, than they can be stacked directly on top of each other. However, if the blocks are smaller or rectangular, you may need to alternate each row so seams are not directly on top of each other.
Stack bricks to the same height on the other side.
Lay a plank across the two stacks of bricks.
Throw some cushions on top for comfort and style.
Put on your gloves and form a base layer of bricks by laying them side by side to the length and width you want. For example, seven bricks long and two bricks wide.
Stack the second row of cement bricks on top. If it is possible, alternate the bricks so they do not sit directly on top of the previous layer. This will form a sturdier base and create more visual interest. Stack another layer on top if your bricks are thin and you want more height.
Place a plank on top and cover with cushions.
