Instructions

    • 1

Dig two holes, each 1-foot deep and 6 feet apart, where you would like your privacy stick screen to go.

    • 2

Insert a 7-foot-long stick into each hole, leaving 6 feet above-ground, and packing dirt around the base so that the stick is solidly in place.

    • 3

Nail one 6-foot-long stick across the top of the two grounded sticks or use wire or twine to attach it. Nail the two remaining 6-foot-long sticks to the frame in a cross, so that they intersect at the middle of the frame.

    • 4

Think of your privacy screen as having been divided into four sections by the cross sticks. Working on one section at a time, attach the shorter sticks going from each frame corner to its cross-section center, with wire or twine. Place the sticks as close together as possible.

    • 5

Decorate your privacy fence regularly with hanging ornaments and strings that you can weave through the small cracks in the sticks.
