Wisteria

• Wisteria is a deciduous flowering perennial vine. It grows quickly and can reach heights in excess of 30 feet. The vines of the plant are woody and strong. They produce green foliage and clumps of purple flowers that resemble grapes as they dangle from the vine. Not only are the flowers attractive, they are also highly fragrant.

Morning Glory

• Though morning glory is an annual vine, its flowers re-seed themselves, so they return year after year. The blooms of this vine are trumpet-shaped, highly aromatic and come in a range of colors, including blue, white, red and pink. The flowers are loved by hummingbirds and butterflies.

Cardinal Climber

• Cardinal climber is another annual climbing vine, but one to consider planting because it is easy to grow and produces eye-catching vibrant red blooms. The flowers are tubular and the foliage is brilliant green and feathery. The flowers last throughout the summer. Whether planted in sun or shade, this vine will grow 10 to 20 feet tall.
