Pour your potting soil or peat moss blend into the pot, and water the soil thoroughly.
Poke three 1/2-inch holes into the moist soil and drop a seed into each hole.
Lightly cover the seeds with soil.
Spritz the soil with water to keep it moist.
Cover the pot with plastic wrap and place in a location at a temperature between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove the plastic wrap once the seeds emerge and place the sprouts in a sunny window.
Pinch off the two weaker plants once the sprouts have established leaves. The weaker plants should be pinched off at the soil level, so as not to disturb the soil.
Transplant the healthiest perennial bachelor button plants outdoors once they reach 3 1/2 inches tall.
