Instructions

    • 1

Choose the container that you will use for the floral arrangement. A dish will work well for a low profile arrangement and short pillar or jar candle. A bowl, urn or hurricane type container will work well for a taller arrangement with a tall pillar or tapers.

    • 2

Place the candle in or on the container. Some candles will need to be anchored in the container by sinking them into sand or pebbles to keep them stationary. If you chose tapers, the sand or pebbles need to be deeper to keep them upright.

Place the floral foam around the candle where the flowers and greenery will be placed. If the flowers are fresh, soak the floral foam in a bucket of water first. Using a knife, cut the floral foam to size and place it in or on the container.

Arrange the flowers and greenery, starting with the larger flowers first and filling in the spaces around them with the smaller filler flowers and greenery. Cut the stems as needed. Cut at an angle for fresh flowers. Adding decorative items like ribbon or spray glitter will enhance the floral arrangement.
