These flowers need plenty of water to grow and the blossoms appear in numerous hues such as ivory, mauve-pink, golden-yellow and red. The cut flowers last about 4 to 8 days. Another flower frequently seen in the springtime includes freesia. These flowers have a citrus-scented bloom available in various colors including orange, mauve, yellow, red, pink and yellow. The most common pansies are violet, yellow and blue in color. Pansies are light-scented flowers with edible blooms infused with vitamins A and C. Star-of-Bethlehem flowers have a rosette of basal leaves measuring 1 inch and grow approximately 6 to 9 inches tall. These flowers may begin to bloom toward the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
