Instructions

    • 1

Measure the table top on which you wish to install the mosaic.

    • 2

Order a thin wood board cut at a hardware store. Ensure it fits the exact dimensions of the table top.

    • 3

Take an old pillow case and put old decorative plates inside. Twist the pillowcase end and hammer the contents with a hammer.

    • 4

Select the best pieces from the pile. Remember to wear gloves, as some pieces may be sharp. The best pieces, aside from being aesthetically pleasing to you, should be small and flat.

    • 5

Spread an even 1/2-inch layer of grout on your board using a trowel.

    • 6

Press the pieces into the grout close together in a pattern and allow to dry for 24 hours.

    • 7

Spread more grout on top of the pieces and wipe away the excess from each piece with a dry towel. Allow to dry for 24 hours.

    • 8

Apply glue to the table top and press the bottom of the board to the table top. Adjust to ensure the board is even with the top of the table and allow to dry for 24 hours.
