Uses of Log Tables

Log tables are both woodsy and functional, and they can be used in a variety of ways in your home and garden. Depending on how new or nice your log table is, you will want to use it for different purposes. Whether for functionality or decor, a log table is a pleasant and rustic addition to a home.
  1. Rustic Table Furniture

    • If you have a long, low log table, use it as a rustic coffee table and footrest in your living room or den. If your home style is casual and woodsy, a rough log table will be a welcoming touch to a room. Not only will the log table add a rustic flair to your room, but it will be a durable, lasting coffee table. If you have two long log tables, use them as bench seating either with a table or alone. Log tables against the wall can easily be pulled out and provide extra seating for around the fireplace. If you have a long, casual wood dining table, low log tables are ideal for bench seating.

    Garden Plant Table

    • If your log table would be better suited outside, place it in your garden or on your deck as an extra seat or to house a variety of plants. Rather than simply placing potted plants on the floor of your deck, add variety by covering the log table with pots of all shapes and sizes. This will create a wild, unassuming look and showcase smaller potted plants beautifully by raising them off the ground. It will also provide a natural-looking addition to your garden area rather than a stiff, uniform style.

    Log Workbench

    • Another great use for a log table is to put it in your garage or workshop to house tools and a variety of work materials. Using a log table rather than an synthetic storage container will help create the look of an old-fashioned workshop while still providing a functional way to store and display tools.

    Lantern Display

    • Another classy idea for a log table is to use it to display candles or lanterns for a garden party. Place the table out of the way in your garden, and place an array of hurricane candles and lanterns on the table. This will provide an elegant way to add candlelight and bring it off the ground.
