Clean veneer table tops with a soft cloth and soapy water. Remove marks and surface scratches gently by rubbing the cloth over them in a circular motion. Be careful not to rub too strongly, as this can leave a shiny round spot on the finish of the veneer top. Dry with a towel.
Apply a colored wax to deep scratches using a touch-up stick. Touch-up sticks come in different colors and shades to match the surface of your veneer table top. Fill the scratch completely with the wax and let it dry. Buff the surface over the wax application with a dry cloth until smooth.
Apply furniture polish to the wood veneer as you would to wood table tops. Rub the polish onto the table top in a steady circular motion. The wax in the polish will help protect the table top.
Place a table cloth or mat over the veneer table top to protect it from getting bumped or scratched.
