How to Remove Stains From Wood With Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is a versatile substance that can be used for many different tasks around the house. Uses include cleaning blinds and windows, dissolving frost on windshields, erasing permanent marker, removing ticks on dogs and cleaning ink off wood. Rubbing alcohol is made of 70 percent isopropyl alcohol and 30 percent water. When you apply it to ink stains on wood, the isopropyl alcohol will oxidize the ink, breaking it up so that you can easily wipe it away.
