How to Shine Marble Tops

Marble table tops can be a beautiful accent to any room in a home. Keeping those table tops shiny can be challenging, as marble is susceptible to pitting, as well as wear and tear over time. Regularly cleaning the table tops can keep them looking brand new for years and avoid damaging the natural stone.

Towel
Soft cloths
Bucket
Mild dish soap or stone cleaner

  Add one or two teaspoons of a mild dish soap or stone cleaner to a bucket. Fill the bucket with one gallon of water.

  Submerge a soft cloth into the soapy water and wring it out. Wipe the marble top and rinse the cloth as necessary.

  Wet a second cloth with clean water and ring it out. Wipe away any soap residue from the top.

  Dry the marble top thoroughly with a towel. Buff the top with a soft, dry cloth by rubbing it in small circular motions. This will bring out the marble top's natural shine.

  Blot stains or spills with a cloth.
