How to Move an Olhausen Pool Table

Olhausen pool tables come in many models and variations, and are designed and built in the United States. Olhausen also manufacture shuffleboard tables, carom tables and other gaming equipment. Olhausen tables are usually constructed from hardwood. These pool tables are very large, and many models and custom tables come prebuilt with the legs securely fastened. Olhausen tables are very heavy, and will require four people to safely carry the table inside the residence or business.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the doors to the room where the pool table stands, and clear any objects from the path to the doorway. Move any objects that might get in the way of the pool table transport to the trailer outside, including lawn sprinklers, old newspapers and gates.

    • 2

Remove the legs of the pool table using a screwdriver, wrench or other appropriate tool. If the legs are permanently attached with glue and there are no screws or bolts, carry the Olhausen table with the legs attached.

    • 3

Assemble three volunteers and have each person stand at one corner of the pool table. In unison, lift the table off the ground by bending and lifting from the legs, and slowly walk the table outside the room. If the room does not have double doors, flip the pool table carefully on its side, being sure not to let it drip to the ground. Carry the table outside the room making sure not the hit the legs on the door frame.

    • 4

Flip the pool table right-side up and have two volunteers step onto the trailer. Set two cardboard pieces on the trailer bed for the legs to slide onto when hoisted. Hoist the front legs of the pool table onto the cardboard, and hoist the back of the table onto the trailer while sliding the front legs down the trailer.

    • 5

Tie the pool table secure to the trailer using rope. Place rags between the rope and the table before tightening to prevent scratching the table wood. Close the back of the trailer before moving the truck.
