Rub 3 to 4 tbsp of mayonnaise onto the nail polish remover stain. Sprinkle ashes over the mayonnaise, and let it sit for three to five minutes. Gently rub the mayonnaise and ashes into the stain with the cloth to remove it. Wash the mayonnaise-ash mix off your table with a damp cloth.
Wet a cloth, and put a small dot or two or mild soap on it. Wipe down your table with the cloth. Rinse the table, and let it dry well. Pour 3 to 4 tbsp of wood oil onto the stain, and rub the oil into the stain. Let the oil sit over the stain for five to 10 minutes to soak into the wood. Wash the table with the soapy cloth again, and rinse the table off again.
Dampen a cloth, and set it over the stain. Put your iron on high heat, and rub it over the cloth in a circular motion. Check under the cloth every two to three minutes to see how the stain is fading. Dampen the cloth again if you need to. Don’t let the iron sit on the table for too long, or you could burn it.
