DIY Cultured Marble Coffee Table

Cultured marble is a man-made product that is durable and requires little maintenance. It is made of crushed limestone that is mixed with a fiberglass resin and molded into the desired shape. Each piece is slightly different as the veining techniques are unique to each manufacturer and can vary from batch to batch. Since the cultured stone is so durable, it is often used for tabletops, vanities and shower surrounds. By adding legs to a piece of cultured marble you can make your own table. Supplies for this project may be found at home improvement and hardware stores.

Instructions

    • 1

Spread the old towel or blanket on a flat work surface. Set the slab of cultured marble on the towel, with the good side down.

    • 2

Set the leg adapters near each corner. These adapters allow legs to be screwed into place without having to drill directly into the cultured marble.

    • 3

Use the silicone adhesive to glue the leg adapters in place. Let the adhesive dry completely before adding the table legs.

    • 4

Screw the threads at the ends of the table legs into the adapters. Turn the table over and set it into place.
