How to Build a Table From Twigs

Rustic furniture can bring the outside elements indoors with its distinctive look, especially by using branches and twigs instead of milled wood. The result is furniture with natural curves and a rougher appeal. One rustic piece that you can make yourself is a table with a twig top. Once the table is complete, you can either keep the twigs as the top or add a piece of clear glass to give the top a flat surface.

Instructions

Determine the height of the table and cut the remaining four branches to this size. Drill pilot holes through the top of the frame pieces into the legs then screw the legs into place.

    • 3

Line up the twigs so that they reach across from one end of the table to the other width-wise. If the twigs are too small, then tie a few together with twine and reinforce them with wood glue.

Nail the twigs onto the table top frame with a hammer and sixpenny nails.
