Decide on the size of the table and cut hollow-core doors accordingly. For a thin table, a single door should suffice. For wider tables, or tables that are longer than the height of a door, two or more doors are needed.
Cut into the doors and expose the cores. Cut a piece of lumber to fit within the hole. Apply wood glue and hammer it into the hole, clamping the sides of the door to secure it firmly.
Sand the surfaces of the tabletop to make them smooth.
Spray the doors with a strong adhesive and attach them as desired. Allow the adhesive to set.
Use the same spray adhesive and spray the entire tabletop structure. Apply wood laminate over the adhesive. Use a handheld power router to trim excess laminate, and sand the edges to ensure a tight seal before applying laminate to the adjacent sides.
