# How to Measure for a Drum Tablecloth
A drum tablecloth is made in two sections of fabric and is fitted to your table size. The top portion of this type of cloth fits directly on the round top of your table. The drop length or sides of the tablecloth sew to the top round portion and fall straight down without an excess of flowing material to fit the table size tightly. Drum tablecloths are called this because the top of a musical drum is flat and it has straight sides. Taking correct measurements of your table allows you to purchase a drum tablecloth that fits correctly and stays in place.

Measure the round tabletop across the center.

Record this measurement on paper.

Place the tip of a measuring tape on the edge of the tabletop. Stretch the measuring tape down to the floor or just above the floor.

Record the height measurement as the drop length.

Order or purchase a drum tablecloth in the exact diameter of your table. The drop length can vary slightly from your measurement.
