Instructions

  1. Cleaning Canvas

    • 1

Remove the canvas from the frame. If your furniture has removable canvas, you can easily wash it in your washing machine. Once it is clean, attach it to the frame while still damp. Allow it to dry fully before using the furniture again. This will ensure that it dries and tightens properly.

    • 2

Moisten the canvas with warm water. Either with a spray bottle or by gently pouring, dampen all the canvas areas. Make sure the canvas is thoroughly wet. Wash away excess dirt while you do this.

    • 3

Scrub the canvas down thoroughly. Take your scrub brush and rub it over the bar of fels naptha laundry soap. Beginning at the top of the piece of furniture, scrub the canvas and loosen up any ground-in dirt.

    • 4

Rinse the canvas. Take the warm or hot water and rinse the furniture from top to the bottom. Rinse the canvas thoroughly to avoid deterioration of the fabric.

    • 5

Check the canvas for cleanliness. If necessary, repeat the scrub and rinse until the canvas is completely clean.

    • 6

Dry the canvas. Set the piece of furniture in a sunny location and give it time to dry completely.
