Types of Lawn Chairs

Lawn chairs allow for comfortable seating while relaxing in the yard or attending outdoor events. They are designed to withstand prolonged exposure to the elements and are commonly made from materials such as canvas, vinyl, metal, wood, wicker and other durable materials.
  1. Plastic Lawn Chairs

    • Plastic lawn chairs are generally made of resin or other durable plastics. They are sold in many sizes and colors and can easily be cleaned with a mild detergent and water.

    Adirondack Chairs

    • Lawn chairs made from wood, also referred to as Adirondack chairs, were one of the first forms of lawn furniture developed in the early 1900s. Although these chairs are not adjustable, they still remain very popular because of their high backs and wide seats. Cushions are often used for added comfort.

    Wicker Chairs

    • Wicker lawn chairs are made of woven bamboo or other flexible branches. These chairs offer a more decorative appeal to patios and lawns but are not as portable as other lawn chair choices.

    Hammocks

    • Hammocks often resemble a sling made of durable cloth or vinyl strung between two poles or sturdy trees. Modern hammocks are often mounted on a metal stand.

    Folding Chairs

    • Folding lawn chairs are great for families on the go because they are made of durable cloth or plastic webbing, making them easy to clean and move from one area to another. These are commonly used by sports fans and campers to allow for quick outdoor seating.
