Remove the old webbing. Use it to estimate how much new webbing you need. If it was mounted with reusable two part clips, remove them from the web ends and put aside. If you are using new clips, install the bracket portion on the rattan frame where the old webbing was attached.
Cut the webbing into strips just long enough to wrap very tightly around the rattan frame. Remember that the old webbing has stretched so the new lengths will be a little shorter.
Attach the portion of the mounting clips that go on the webbing to one end of each strip.
Bring a large pot of hot water to a boil and remove from heat. Immerse one strip in the hot water briefly (refer to instructions with webbing) to soften the material and facilitate stretching.
Remove from water, dry with a towel, and secure the strip to the mounting bra on the frame. Grip the other end with canvas wrapping pliers and wrap the strip tightly around the opposite side of the frame to be sure the strip is the correct length. Trim if necessary and attach the mounting clip to the end. Using the pliers again, pull the strap tightly and secure on the mounting bracket. Repeat until all the strips running from side to side are mounted.
Mount the remainder of the webbing strips using the same procedure, weaving them through the mounted straps from back to front.
