How to Decorate a Small Patio Seating Area

Complement the small patio with wicker furniture. Select two wicker chairs and a wicker table and place them facing outward toward the yard or street. The chairs can be a natural brown wicker or white painted wicker depending on your interior design elements. The outside patio should blend with the indoor space. Angle both wicker chairs toward the table.

Add weather resistant floral or striped cushions to the wicker chairs. Secure the seat cushions in place by tying them to the chair or by seating them snugly into the chair. Place a draping throw blanket in a complementary color over the back of one of the chairs.

Decorate the table. Add colorful accessories to the wicker tabletop using potted plants, candlesticks, wicker wine bottles, an iced tea pitcher and stemware, or a stack of dishes. If an outdoor patio outlet is accessible, add a table lamp to the table decorations. For a solid table top, a clear glass can be added to the table.
