How to Attach a Hammock to a Hook

A hammock can provide a place to rest and relax at any time of day. Traditionally hung from trees, hammocks today come in many configurations, styles and materials. Hammocks can be hung inside or outside, and many come with hammock stands, making them more convenient to erect. Most hammocks, though, still hang from hooks attached to sturdy materials such as a wall or hammock posts.

     Locate the hammock loop. There is one at each end of the hammock.

     Grasp one of the hammock loops in one hand and the hook in the other hand.

     Slide the loop of the hammock over the hook, with the hook's tip pointing up. Spread the hammock out and walk the other loop over to the opposite hook. Slip the loop over the second hook.
