Instructions

    • 1

Draw your mosaic design on the bistro tabletop using a marker. If you are applying an abstract mosaic design, you don’t need to mark it in.

    • 2

Dip the back side of the mosaic tiles into mosaic tile adhesive and set them in position on the bistro tabletop. Begin with the edge of the tabletop and the border first, then work your way through the design. Leave 1/8-inch gap between tiles for grout.

    • 3

Let the adhesive cure for 12 hours or overnight in a well-ventilated, dry location. A covered porch or airy workshop is ideal.

    • 4

Mix mosaic grout according to the instructions on the grout packaging. Spread the grout into the joints between the mosaic tiles using a grout scraper. The grout should be level with the tops of the tiles.

    • 5

Wipe off excess grout gently with a soft cloth, being carefully not to remove any of the grout from between the tiles. Wipe over the tile faces again with a slightly damp cloth after 30 minutes to remove the remaining grout haze. Buff the tile faces with a dry cloth, then let cure for three days.

Apply tile sealer to the mosaic tabletop, following the sealer manufacturer’s instructions.
