Remove the debris from the gazebo site. Move aside any branches and rocks in a level area. Examine the soil for firmness. Soil that's too soft and sandy will not hold the gazebo supports, and rocky soil will not allow for the stakes to be placed in the ground.
Remove the gazebo and all parts from the carrying case. Stand the gazebo frame upright. Spread the frame out by walking backwards, with an assistant holding the other side.
Open the canvas canopy and place it over the top of the frame, with the right side pointing upward. Grasp the frame with two hands and extend the frame out until it's fully extended.
Lock the corner sliders in place by spreading them in opposite directions until they snap in place. Wrap the Velcro straps around the roof tubes to properly hold the canvas canopy in place. Pull the fabric over the corners.
Grasp one of the legs and pull the bottom piece downward. The inner leg should slide out and snap in place when fully extended. Repeat for the other legs.
Drive the stakes down into the holes at the bottom of the legs with a hammer. Tie a guy rope to the top of each leg, and stretch it out to the ground, creating a 45-degree angle. Tie the guy rope to a stake driven into the ground at the end of the rope.
Reverse the steps to put the portable gazebo away, using the release buttons found on each leg.
