Instructions

    • 1

Cut a small dining table in half, or remove the brackets and slides from beneath an adjustable table to create a console table. Screw three corner brackets into the underside of the table with one side of the brackets flush with the edge. Secure the brackets to the wall.

    • 2

Cut the legs of tall tables to a uniform, shorter length to make a coffee table or end table. If the top is damaged, trim fiber batting to the size of the table top and cover it with fabric. Staple the fabric to the underside of the table and cover with self-adhesive felt for a bench or foot rest.

Remove dresser drawer hardware, pull the drawers from the base. Stack the drawers on their sides to create shelving. Drill holes through the bottom of each shelf and install a bolt, washer and nut through each hole to secure the unit. Repaint or refinish as desired.

Paint an old entertainment center, desk or armoire, remove the shelves and drawers and place it outside or in another sunny location. Fill the piece with potted plants and planting supplies during growing season.
