Measure two rectangles on the fleece fabric using a measuring tape. Each rectangle should be 26 inches long and 16 inches wide. Cut the rectangles out.
Create a four-inch border around one rectangle by drawing a rectangle that is 22 inch by 12 inch inside of it.
Place the marked rectangle on top of the unmarked rectangle. Pin the pieces of fabric together at the corners using straight pins.
Cut the pinned rectangles around the border, cutting all the way to the mark you made. Make the cuts one inch apart along every inch of the border. Once you have finished, the edges of the fabric should look fringed. Remove the pins.
Tie the corresponding upper and lower strips of fleece into tight knots all the way around one short side and both long sides of the rectangle.
Stuff the inside of the fleece with down feathers until it is as thick and fluffy as you like.
Tie the remaining strips of fleece together on the unfinished end of the rectangle to complete the bed.
