# How to Adjust a La-Z-Boy Power Recliner
La-Z-Boy Power Recliners are available as single recliner chairs, loveseats or couches. The Power Recliner model features a motor to adjust and recline the chair, so the consumer doesn't have to adjust it with a lever. The power option permits adjustment of the recliner exactly as desired, unlike the standard recliner that only has one recline setting.

Locate the “Power” button on the side of the La-Z-Boy Power Recliner. The large plastic button is loated on the exterior side under the right-side armrest and is divided into upper and lower portions.

Push the bottom portion of the button down to raise the footrest.

Continue to hold the button down to recline the backrest. Once the footrest is fully raised, the backrest will begin to recline. Release the button at any time to keep the backrest at a certain recline level.

Push the upper portion of the button down to raise the backrest. Once the backrest is fully raised, the footrest will begin to recline unless you release the button.
