Instructions

    • 1

Cut off stray and torn pieces of wicker that may be dangerous. Use a sharp pair of scissors or shears to remove the broken wicker. Sand down any rough edges with sandpaper before beginning the repairs.

    • 2

Place the replacement pieces of wicker in water and allow them to soak for 10 minutes. This will make the wicker pieces easier to work with and blend into the existing wicker.

    • 3

Twist the replacement fibers into the existing wicker to recreate the pattern of the wicker. Use carpentry glue to hold the wicker into place. Do this for any areas that have broken or missing wicker. Stick wicker ends into existing wicker to blend them in. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly.
