Instructions

Take all the cushions off of your leather sofa. Locate the front and back of the couch frame that surrounds the seating area. Screw small eye hooks across the front of the sofa frame at a rate of every 6 inches. Screw the small eye hooks at the same interval on the back of the sofa frame. Thread a thin nylon rope through the front, left eye hook and knot it. Weave the rope from the front eye hooks to the back eye hooks until you reach the other side. Pull the rope tightly, which creates a new support system for the couch.

Purchase and install products that are designed for fixing sagging sofas. Find the products at furniture stores or online retailers. Snap the panels together until they form a firm support system that spans the length of the leather couch.

Form a plywood or fiberboard support to slip under your couch cushions. Remove the cushions and take a measurement from one side of the couch seating area to the other. Draw the pattern onto a piece of wood and cut it out. Slide it in place to support your leather couch.
