DIY Glass Tile Drawer Pull

Glass tile adorns many bathrooms, kitchens and other areas of homes these days, and it comes in many different sizes. Glass tile can also be used to decorate furniture. If you are refurbishing a dresser or cabinet, you can update the look of the drawer pulls with small glass tiles purchased at a home improvement center or a craft supply store. Use the old drawer pulls or buy new ones for this project. It helps if the drawer pulls have a flat surface.

Instructions

    • 1

Clean the drawer pulls even if they are new to remove any dirt, grime or grease. Use a mixture of liquid dish soap and warm water or a general household cleaner. Sponge them down then let them dry completely before continuing.

    • 2

Apply a generous amount of adhesive to the front surface of a drawer pull. Use a heavy-duty, permanent adhesive that is designed for non-porous materials, such as epoxy.

    • 3

Press a glass craft tile onto the front of the drawer pull so that it seats well into the glob of adhesive. You will be able to move it around before the glue dries so position it as desired.

    • 4

Wrap a piece of blue painter’s tape around the drawer pull to hold the glass tile in place. Set the drawer pull in a cool, dry place and wait the amount of time recommended on the adhesive package for the glue to dry. Remove the painter’s tape and your glass tile drawer pull is ready to install.
