Position the coat hooks against the rear board of the unit. Pass the bolts of the coat hooks through the predrilled holes in the rear board and into the hooks themselves. Fasten them in place by tightening them with an Allen wrench.

    • 3

Hold the top board of the unit against the rear board and pass the attachment bolts through the rear board and into the top board. Tighten them in place with the Allen wrench. Repeat to install the bottom board of the unit.

    • 4

Attach the side boards and middle boards of the unit to the rear board using the same procedure. Attach them to each other with the provided bolts and the Allen wrench.

Find and mark the studs in the desired area using the stud finder. Position the completed coat hook unit against the wall in the desired area so that it spans two studs evenly. Ideally, the premade rear screw brackets should line up with the stud positions. Set a level on top of the unit and make sure it is straight. Mark a position for a screw on each stud.

Drill into each stud, making sure the drill bit hits a wooden stud. Tighten a 3-inch wood screw into the hole, letting the screw heads stick out by a quarter inch. Settle the unit onto the exposed screw heads.
