How to Install 2 Tier Cabinet Shelves

Two tier cabinet shelves are a storage tool that can be used in almost any room of the house. Since these storage units often come with wheels, they can be rolled around the home as need be, even when loaded down with heavy books or toys. Bathroom essentials, garage tools and children's toys are all able to be stored in one of these easy-to-access units. Since they usually do not include a back, this design can be accessed from either side and make good room dividers. Installing the cabinets only needs limited tools, most of which are usually included in the packaging.

Review the assembly instructions to get a good overview of the installation process and the look of the final product. Look over the parts list, paying particular attention to smaller pieces, and determine if any parts have been overlooked or not included in the package. Contact the retailer to request replacement parts if needed.

Position the sides of the cabinet shelves on the working surface, upright on their long, thin sides. Have an assistant hold them in place and position the top board of the shelf unit against them. Set the attachment pegs into the top board and thread the attachment bolts through the side board and into the pegs. Use an Allen wrench to tighten the bolts and attach the boards together. Repeat to add the bottom board to the other side of the cabinet shelves.

Arrange the interior shelf boards within the assembled frame and attach them together using the same bolts and pegs process that the frame was installed with.

Flip the cabinet shelves upside down so that the bottom board is facing upward. Set each of the included wheels in one of the holes that are pre-drilled in the corner of the bottom board. Tighten each wheel to complete the installation of the wheels.
