Measure the space in which you plan to install your cabinet tower, using a measuring tape. If you have limited space in your bathroom, consider placing your cabinet tower in the corner where it will be out of the way. Measure the height, width and depth of the space to determine the dimensions for your cabinet tower.
Draw a sketch of your cabinet tower and write in the measurements you just took. Divide your cabinet tower with as many shelves as you would like and divide the total height of the tower by the number of shelves to determine the height for each shelf.
Cut the side panels for your cabinet tower out of sheets of pine measuring 1 inch by 10 inches, using a circular saw. These panels should be cut to the total height of your cabinet tower. Use the circular saw to cut two pieces of 1-by-10 pine to the desired width of your cabinet tower for the top and bottom panels.
Arrange the four boards you just cut in a rectangular shape, positioning them upright on their longest narrow edges. Slide the side panels between the ends of the top and bottom panels. Secure the frame by driving nails from a nail gun through the top and bottom panels into the side panels.
Measure the interior width of your cabinet tower frame; it should be about 2 inches shorter than the length of the top and bottom panels you just installed. Cut your shelves to this measurement using the circular saw. Refer to your sketch to determine how many shelves to cut.
Mark the desired position of each shelf on the side panels of your cabinet tower in pencil. When making your measurements, do not forget to account for the 1-inch thickness of each shelf.
Slide the shelves horizontally into place between the side panels where you made the pencil marks. Attach the shelves by driving nails from the nail gun through the side panels into the thickness of the shelves.
Paint or stain your cabinet tower to match the decor scheme in your bathroom. Allow the paint or stain to dry completely before moving on.
Stand your completed cabinet tower upright in the desired position in your bathroom. Adjust the tower so the back edges of the frame are flush with the wall.
Anchor the cabinet tower to the wall by driving 2-inch wood screws through the upper and lower corners of the frame into the wall studs. You may need to use a stud finder to locate the wall studs.
