How to Make a Stand for Guitar Hero

"Guitar Hero" is a video game that mimics the playing of a real guitar by allowing players to use a special video game controller designed like a real guitar to play along to different songs. These guitar controllers are easily knocked over if they are stood up and do not come with any sort of support or case. It is possible, however, to create a stand for these guitar controllers by connecting pieces of PVC pipe together.

Things You'll Need

  • Eight elbow joints
  • Five T-joints
  • Two open-end joints
  • 1/4-inch piping

Instructions

    • 1

Connect three T-joints with 1/4-inch piping. Lay the pieces down and rotate the two end joints so they are facing down flat on the ground, and the middle piece should be rotated so it is sticking up in the air. Connect two elbow joints with piping and fit them to the bottom of the T-joint piece. The piping will then form a square. This is the base of the stand.

Take another T-joint and run piping through the horizontal end of it. At the end of the piping, place an elbow joint facing down, and into the other side of the elbow joint put more piping followed by another joint. This will create a joint for the stand to lean on without falling. Put this on the top part of the T-joint that is facing up in the square base.

Run a length of pipe from the top of the T-joint at the base up the stand to create the neck. Place a T-joint at the top of the neck with the dual-ended part facing horizontally. Run pipe through this, and at each end, place an elbow joint. Run more piping through each open side of the newly placed elbow joints, and attach the remaining elbow joints to the ends so that a square with one open side is at the top of the stand. This will be where the head of the controller rests.
