Decide if you want an adjustable bed frame, which can be adjusted from a smaller size to a larger size to accommodate different mattresses. These may save you money in the long run.

Consider if you want a bed frame with storage drawers underneath. These can be convenient if you live in a smaller house or apartment and want to combine your dresser and bed, or if you want the extra storage.

Shop around for comparable prices. Check out furniture stores in your local area for bed frames and compare prices, as some stores may sell the same bed frame you want for less money than another store. You can also look at discount furniture warehouses on line (keep in mind that although these provide a discount, it may end up costing more if you have to pay for shipping of the bed frame).
