Remove the cap and plug from the waterbed mattress. On most waterbed mattresses, these are located near the foot of the bed.
Pull the valve that sits below the cap and plug out of the mattress, and ask an assistant to hold it in place to keep water from spilling out of the mattress.
Run the broom down the length of the mattress--from head to foot--to push the air bubbles toward the open valve. Repeat the process if one swipe doesn't get all the air bubbles out of the mattress.
Quickly replace the cap and plug, and push the valve back into the mattress. If you do not do this fast, more air will be able to enter the mattress.
Remove the cap and plug, which are located at the foot of the bed, from the waterbed mattress.
Pull out the valve that sits below the cap and plug.
Dump the waterbed conditioner into the open valve.
Replace the cap and plug, and push the valve back into the mattress.
