A proper bed frame will give your mattress and box spring the support they need to prevent sagging and ripping. Metal bed frames provide excellent support, and you can usually purchase one at the store where you bought your mattress. If you have a queen- or king-size mattress set, make sure to use a bed frame that features a horizontal support beam that runs across the center of the frame. This beam provides the extra support needed for wider mattresses. Use a box spring to prevent the memory foam from sinking into the bed frame.
Rotate your mattress regularly to prevent indentations and increase comfort. Mattresses that are rotated regularly usually last longer than mattresses that stay in the same position, because they receive equal wear on all sides. While memory foam does not usually sag or develop permanent indentations, rotating your Sealy memory foam mattress is still a good idea to keep any wear the same on all sides. Rotate your mattress half a turn every six to 12 months to increase its life span. You may also flip your mattress completely once a year.
Keep your Sealy Posturepedic memory foam mattress clean and dry. Use a mattress pad or cover made for memory foam mattresses to protect the foam. Chemicals can harm the foam, so clean your mattress regularly by vacuuming. If you notice a stain or spot, clean it with a mild dishwashing soap and cold water. Do not soak the mattress, and allow it to dry thoroughly before putting your mattress cover and sheets back on the bed. Do not use bleach on memory foam. If soap and water does not remove the stain, you can spray your mattress with diluted vinegar to help fade stains. Sprinkle baking soda over the area to soak up the excess moisture, and vacuum the mattress before replacing the bedding.
