Have a helper stand on one side of the mattress while you stand on the other side. Grip the sides of the mattress and rotate it by a quarter turn in a counterclockwise direction so that the mattress is positioned cross-ways on the bed frame.
Rotate the mattress one more quarter turn until you have turned it 180 degrees, or a half turn.
Inspect the mattress to make sure it is aligned properly on the foundation. Repeat Steps 1 to 3 every three months.
Ask your helper to assist you in pulling the mattress approximately three feet away from the wall or headboard. Stand at the end of the mattress, grip it and pull it toward you.
Rotate the mattress by a fourth turn in a counter-clockwise direction to position the mattress cross-ways on the foundation.
Ask your helper to stand on one side of the bed while you stand on the other. Simultaneously lift the edge of the mattress closest to the headboard by tilting it upward until the mattress is resting on the side that was closest to the foot of the bed. The mattress should be standing on its side in an upright position.
Lower the mattress down and rest it on the foundation. The top side will now be facing the foundation and the bottom side will be facing upward. Slide the mattress slightly up toward the headboard so that you will be able to turn it.
Rotate the mattress another fourth turn so that the mattress is properly realigned on the foundation. Push the mattress up toward the headboard if needed. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 every six months.
