Kinds of Stearns & Foster Mattress

There are three basic kinds of Stearns & Foster mattresses--traditional, Limited-Edition Silver Dream and Limited-Edition Golden Elegance. Stearns & Foster claims its takes much longer to make because of quality-control scrutiny.

    • You can choose from two designs: a caramel hue, which contains a silk-infused fabric and eight well-integrated handles or a mocha hue, crafted by a dark-chocolate micro-suede which includes cashmere-knit fabrics, a specialized Stearns and Foster embroidery and eight handles which are all exclusive to this mattress.

      Variable response technology is employed in this Stearns and Foster mattress and attempts to achieve a balance between support and level of firmness. The innersprings are allegedly a key component in helping support your body on this mattress. You make the choice of an individually-wrapped coil or the Stearns & Foster "intellicoil" system. Choose from two box springs. .

    Limited-Edition Silver Dream

    • Stearns & Foster has the coil-in-a-coil, individually-wrapped design that claims to give comfort and deep-down support.

      The Silver Dream uses New Zealand Joma wool that is designed to give resilience. The natural insulation claims to control humidity on the mattress's surface. Natural latex is used in the Silver Dream. Cashmere-Infused woven fabric is arrayed in a jumbo silver-tone pattern. This Stearns & Foster bed has a hand-tufted finish and a cotton/wool blend.

    Limited-Edition Golden Elegance

    • The Limited-Edition Golden Elegance uses an intellicoil patented coil-in-a-coil, individually-wrapped design with a foam encasement.

      Just like the Silver Dream, this mattress uses New Zealand Joma wool. Three inches of natural latex are used in the Golden Elegance.

      White cashmere and a white wool blend are used together in the Golden Elegance. This mattress is made with a blend of silk, cashmere and merino wool. To round out the mattress, the Golden Elegance has a jumbo fleur-de-lis pattern woven into it. Finally, the hollow fibers of horsehair are used in this type of mattress.
