How to Control a Dual Electric Blanket

A dual electric blanket is a type of blanket which is secured to a bed and provides heat from below, in contrast to a standard blanket which lays on top. If you are using a dual electric blanket, there are two heat zones that are available. One zone is for the body and the other is for the feet. Both of the these zones have settings that are adjusted by using the controller unit.

  Remove the sheets from the bed and place the electric blanket on top of the mattress. Place the fleece side up and make sure the power supply is at the head of the bed.

  Insert the controller plug into the socket of the connector on the blanket. Run the controller cable along the edge of the mattress. Secure the cable to the blanket with the hook and loop fasteners.

  Place the controller off to the side of the bed, near the location of the pillows.

  Secure the blanket to the mattress with the elastic skirt. Place the sheets back on the bed.

  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet and then press the "Power" button.

  Press the top button on the controller to control the body section of the blanket. Each press of the button will change the current setting.

  Press the bottom button to control the foot section of the blanket. Each press of the button will change the current setting.

  Press the "Power" button to turn the blanket off.
