Pocketed Coil Springs

• Most other mattresses contain wire-tied springs. The Beautyrest® contains Pocketed Coil® springs. Pocketed Coil® springs are an innovation developed by Simmons, and they contribute to an undisturbed night's sleep. Unlike wire-tied springs, these do not join at either the top or the bottom of the mattress. Instead, these pre-compressed springs rest in their own encasements. This allows the springs to adjust to the weight and contour to the specific individual using the mattress.

Motion Separation

• You and your partner will toss and turn about 40-50 times every night, so motion separation is important to ensuring a good night's sleep. Unlike the springs in most mattresses, the Pocketed Coil® springs design ties spring together at the side of each encasement. When you move, the springs don't bounce with you. They envelope you so you avoid disturbing your partner.

Conformability

• Because these springs do not connect to the top or bottom of the mattress, they can work independently. This lets them conform to the precise shape of your body. Each time you move, the springs move with you.
