Remove the aerator from a faucet in the bathroom with pliers. Wrap the teeth of the pliers in masking tape to protect the finish of the faucet.
Attach a faucet connector to the bathroom faucet that lets you connect a garden hose to the faucet. Connect the hose to the faucet, and lay the other end in the bathtub or shower. Turn the water on to clean out any bacteria inside the garden hose. Let the water run for 1 or 2 minutes.
Place the water bed fill attachment on the opposite end of the garden hose. Screw the attachment into the waveless water bed mattress valve.
Turn the cold water faucet on in the bathroom to begin filling the waveless mattress. Ensure the mattress is straight and flat in the frame as it fills. Turn the hot water faucet on once the waveless mattress is one-quarter filled with cold water. Continue to fill the mattress with both hot and cold water until the top of the mattress reaches 1 inch below the side of your water bed frame.
Remove the hose and fill attachment from the mattress. Pour an 8 oz. bottle of multipurpose water bed conditioner for waveless mattresses. The conditioner cleans and conditions the water. It also includes a bubble preventer, odor preventer and preserves the inner vinyl of the mattress.
Screw the plug into the mattress valve. Lie on the bed to test the fullness. If your head is lower than your body, or it feels as if you might roll off the side of the bed, there is too much water in the mattress. You might need to drain some water from the mattress if this occurs. If your head and feet feel higher than your body, you might need to add additional water. The amount of water you place in the waveless mattress is a personal choice.
Remove the garden hose from the bathroom faucet and replace the aerator.
