• Packing tape

     Strip all bed linens from the mattress, including any mattress pad.

     Drain all of the water out of a water-bed mattress if applicable according to manufacturer's instructions.

     Lift the mattress off the box spring and bed frame and lean it against the wall.

     Insert the mattress into a mattress bag and secure the bag with packing tape.

   • 5

     Place the mattress in a mattress box and secure with packing tape. The box provides added protection.
