How to Stop a Sleep Number From Moving

Sleep number beds are designed to become firmer or softer by adding or releasing air from the mattress. The user enters the number corresponding to the desired firmness and the mattress adjusts accordingly. Each side of the mattress can be set to a different sleep number. If the sleep number changes without the user reprogramming the bed you may have an air leak which is affecting the firmness setting.

Instructions

    • 1

Unzip your mattress cover to expose the air chamber.

    • 2

Check the hose at the head of the bed to be sure it is firmly connected. If it is loose, reconnect it; otherwise, continue to Step 3.

    • 3

Check the connectors for tears or breaks.

    • 4

Inflate the bed 15 points over where you would normally have it set.

    • 5

Remove the hose and put the white cap that came with your mattress over the connector on the air chamber.

    • 6

Put the bed back together and sleep on it. Call Sleep Number customer service if your mattress loses air while capped.
